It’s publication day for the truly amazing special video essay issue of MAI devoted to Doing Women’s (Global) Horror Film History. A completely monumental project conceived and led by the incredible scholar and person Professor Alison Peirse at Leeds University, DWGHFH offered its global participants the chance to work in an equitable, generous, thoughtful and creative research space, many learning how to make videographic work for the first time (I was fortunate to be one of the team teaching these methods in the early part of the project). The result is not only this fabulous collection of work, a fantastic addition to horror film scholarship, but also a vibrant and supportive, and above all ongoing network of researchers that will continue to make excellent work together and separately. Brava Alison, and many congratulations to everyone involved!
