I learned modalities of collaboration in the academy from POC traditions and from , in that order. I've had this question lingering on my mind for a few weeks: How do I teach white students from POC traditions of solidarity forged to survive the academy? The answer has not been self-evident. But all my students, white or not, need to learn how to collaborate with each other, in the pseudo-integrated spaces we inhabit, to survive what's next.

@elotroalex I know you know this, but the lesson your PoC students know that your white students may not is that the system isn’t there to help you, so the solution is generosity. We lift each other up as we can. It comes back to you.
