Today's (somewhat remarkable) discovery begins in a somewhat unassuming way: an early 20th century manuscript bound (as you can see) in the flyleaves / advertisements of an English publisher.

Taking a closer look at the title, the text is attributed to the well-known Syriac author Gregory Bar Hebraeus. I have cataloged dozens of copies of Bar Hebraeus' various works, but I do not immediately recognize this particular title: ܟܬܒܐ ܕܒܠܨܘܨܝܬܐ ܕܓܪܡܛܝܩܝ ܒܟܪ̈ܝܬܐ "the brief book of the spark of grammar."
