I do have a Godzilla shaped hole in my heart this Saturday.
(You watch a movie a week for three quarters of a year, then one day they're... just gone)
#Godzilla vs. #LosAngeles is a one-shot #ComicBook by #IDWPublishing scheduled for the end of this month. 100% of proceeds will be donated to #BINC the Book Industry Charitable Foundation, and their response to the horrific wildfires earlier this year.
So I’m at a pizza place that has pinball machines. Naturally I had to pick the #godzilla one and get a photo for my #monsterdon peeps.

I left Minus Color deeply disturbed. I'd already seen Minus One in both imax and not, but monochromatic, those eyes, in the boat chase, those are eyes that these people or their parents, they have looked into, and they are compelled, with miniscule budget, to warn the world those eyes may come back. I get waves of dread now writing about it.
First atomic breath, yeah the theatre cheered, but look after, #Godzilla burned his own mouth, he was THAT pissed off.
Been a few weeks, but here's a new post on the ol' blog (and not the one I accidentally deleted last night!), wherein I use a deeply nerdy Godzilla discussion as a launchpad for a discussion on narrative theology.
Artist: DANK aka Dan Kitchener

Been watching a lot of the old #Godzilla films and always come to the same thought:
Boy, Tokyo must have high insurance premiums.
I don’t usually watch Mark Kermode but a clip of him talking about Godzilla Minus One popped up in my YouTube feed and there was a great line: “with these big franchises, you ask ‘do we really need another one?’ well, the answer might be YES!”
Latest movie arrivals. I’m not a huge fan of the #Terrifier franchise but it has some cool kills, so there’s that. #Godzilla on 4k looks absolutely marvellous. So happy I bit the bullet and upgraded. #physicalmedia #bluray
Tonight's movie is Godzilla vs. Biollante (1989). The new Criterion 4K looks great. I think Col. Gondo might be my new favorite Godzilla series character.
(Jawszilla sequence tho … jesus christ it’s tense)
So no more live-tooting on this one.
All the fantastic bits are best watched in context.
Strongly recommended and I’ll leave it there.
I do love that Koichi’s job is removing sea mines. Just another symbolic layer about trying to address past trauma.
Not the best Godzilla film, which is the original.
Not the best kaiju wrestlemania action movie either.
But the best “film”, with all the human drama present… this is the one.
This is the best film to watch that has Godzilla in it.
Yeah ok, it’s actually…
GODZILLA MINUS ONE!!!
39th film out of the 40 Godzilla films I’m watching.
