It is impressive how hard some trends in instructional design work to cloak conformity behind a facade of agentive student learning and empowerment.

@FromTheRostra As a educator for the past 20 years: Yes. And those trends are (I think) driven directly or indirectly by what has happened in K-12 and now higher education: a corporatization process that makes the high-power stakeholders (i.e., those who in the end control the money) feel less threatened by education.
